As Captain, your most important power isn’t your All Access ID card, but your power of delegation, and of crew resource management.
 
Delegation starts with the Head of Personnel. If you do not have a Head of Personnel, promote one. If you do not have department heads, have HoP promote them. If you don’t know what to do, ask your department heads.
 
Crew Resource Management is the process where you get the most of your department heads by communicating well and respecting their input. Make sure you aren’t just bossy, overbearing and top-down, or they won’t bother bringing you concerns. Listen, solicit input, and respect people.
